Jr Project Developer - supercharger infrastructure, Norway
The Role
Tesla Motors is looking for a Jr. Project Developer to drive first phases of Tesla’s Supercharger installations, including site diligence, negotiation, approvals, and supporting construction and closeout. The ideal candidate will work tirelessly to find solutions, have impeccable interpersonal skills, easily adapt to external factors and internal guidance, managing up to 10 projects at a given time.
The responsibilities of this position may change over time—this role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the project and the organization. There will be opportunities for career growth based on performance and interest.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, refine and manage comprehensive site diligence.
Work closely with the Project Developer to obtain all necessary approvals from grid operators, and permitting authorities.
Assist the Project Developer to draft and negotiate landlord agreements, working with attorneys to finalize contractual language.
Work closely with installation partners to assess and manage installation costs and timeline.
Work closely with design engineers to optimize site layout.
Build and maintain relationships with key deployment partners.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of project management experience, dealing with private property owners, permitting authorities, grid operators, and building contractors.
Understanding of site diligence and installation design processes, and experience working with engineers and architects to refine and optimize drawings and plans.
Understanding of both the permitting and grid connection process, and experience working with the relevant authorities to ensure a smooth path and expedited schedule.
Experience working with private and public property owners to negotiate and sign agreements.
Ability to anticipate challenges and solve before they become costly to correct.
Ability to function autonomously in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Proven track record of managing infrastructure projects on time and on budget, while adhering to the highest quality and standards
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
Able to communicate effectively to a wide range of individuals.
Willingness to travel up to 75% over the first 12 months of employment, as needed in the country
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
Fluent in Norwegian and English, negotiation in them every day.
