The History of Rock er et sett med til sammen 40 album, med tilhørende magasiner som dekket rockehistorien fram til ca. 1980.[1] Gitt ut av Orbis Publishing fra 1981 til 1987. Samlingen kom ut i en tid gammle opptak var vanskelig å få tak i.

De fleste albumene i samlingen var dobbeltalbum. Samlingen ble senere gjenutgitt på CD.
