Also known as velvet leaf Philodendron is a vining aroid endemic to Mexico. This Philodendron has iridescent, velvety to touch leaves that are deep red under.

Philodendron hederaceum var hederaceum, also known as Philodendron Micans, has very dark velvet-y to touch leaves with burgundy under-sides. It is a very decorative Philodendron that you won’t be able to stop touching

As most Philodendrons, Philodendron hederaceum var hederaceum loves to climb the trees therefore it is advisable to let it climb.

Care tips:

Light: bright, indirect sunlight

Water: when top 3cm of soil are dry to touch

Humidity: average

Soil: well draining potting mix as described above:

25% Coconut Coir, 25% Bark, 25% Perlite, 25% Pumice
