Each piece of Burleigh pottery is made by hand. Established in 1851, we have years of experience and just as much passion, and we remain faithful to the time-honoured techniques that earned our ceramics a worldwide reputation.

We use unique crafting skills that are unmatched anywhere else in the world. Using copper rollers that have been intricately engraved by hand, our stunning floral patterns are printed onto tissue paper, which is meticulously applied to ceramics by Burleigh artisans, by hand. This allows us to achieve results that no other pottery can.

Burleigh ware is crafted from a unique blend of fine earthenware clay that ensures a luxurious look and feel as well as durability. This is all achieved at the renowned Middleport Pottery, the last working Victorian pottery in England and our home since 1889.
