Billedkunstneren Kjeld Stub er født i Bergen i 1946, og er utdannet bl.a. ved Bergen Kunsthåndverksskole og Kunsthøgskolen i Warszawa. Han er i dag bosatt i Bergen. Siden den første separatutstillingen i 1972, har Stub vært en flittig utstiller i inn- og utland. Han arbeider med både maleri og linosnitt, og denne boken viser et utvalg av hans bilder fra de 3-4 siste år. Eva Furseth gir en presentasjon av kunstneren og Åse Lilleskare Faugstad har skrevet dikt som ledsager noen av bildene. Filosofen Arild Haaland har skrevet en innledning.
