When the winter is especially cold here, even the sea freezes up! This view over Vidarfjorden was spotting during a spectacular flight over the frozen North Sea!!! Often, from above, the only way to tell where the fjells end and the fjords start is by studying the shadows. I enjoyed the challenge of this painting, and used everything in my pencil case and paint box to make it. I cannot resist mixed media. I hope you enjoy the textures too.
