Occam er Orbea's sin serie med stisykler. Modellen er nøye balansert og har en gjennomtenkt og velprøvd geometri. Her har du en leken sykkel som gir deg en sikker og stabil sykkelopplevelse. Sykkelen tåler rå og hard kjøring, men tillater også turer på grusveier.

LT står for = long travel på dempere. Denne har 150mm vandring fremme og bak. XT bremser med dobble stempler, Coil/fjær på bakdemper. Fox 36 Kashima fremgaffel.

You might assume coil shocks only belong on heavy duty enduro sleds or downhill race bikes. I sure did. Turns out I was wrong all along, and Orbea finally sold me on this tried and true suspension technology. More than just that, the Occam LT is a complete thought — nothing is out of place. The components harmonize. The suspension matches the handling. It just takes care of business in a quiet, confident manner. And best of all, if you’re not quite ready for a coil bike, or want slightly less travel, there is an array of Occam options that are all likely to offer the same performance.

The Orbea Occam LT is the best technical climber I’ve been on in a long time. It pedals great and still also offers up a ton of traction, without requiring a lot of care to manage weight distribution and balance, and is quick enough handling to get through tighter spots easily without feeling twitchy or unstable. On the way back down, it’s sharp-handling and precise-feeling, while offering very good suspension performance, though it does definitely give up some stability and composure at high speeds and on very steep trails compared to a lot of other ~150mm-travel Trail bikes to get that sharper handling.

In an era where Trail bikes are getting longer, slacker, and more descending-oriented, that might sound like a bit of a throwback, but the Occam LT manages to do it while still feeling thoroughly modern. It’s just a different take on a longer travel Trail bike than a lot of what’s out there, but one that I think is very compelling for the right rider.
