Japanese Satsuma tea service by Hattori zo

Antique Japan satsuma pottery tea service by Hattori Zo. Handmade porcelain, year of origin unknown.

20 pieces. 4 plates are excellent state, 4 plates are used and bit of the colouring is lost. See pictures. All cups are excellent from outside, 5 excellent inside as well, 3 poorer state inside. All cups lost a bit of the gold colouring on the handles. The 2 pots are in excellent state. There is no damage to the porcelain, just the colour. Very good quality!

It has a three character mark on its underside of what is "Made by Hattori" (服部造- Hattori Zo). Above each mark is the Satsuma crest represented by the circled cross.
