Lavrinenko was born in Kherson, Ukraine on December 9, 1938. After school he entered The Art School of Odessa and in 1965 he entered the Kyiv National Art Institute. He participated in over 50 exhibitions in England, France, Spain, and USA. His paintings are in private collections and in multiple museums in Ukraine.
