This super rare Philodendron Florida Ghost is an exciting addition to any collection! New leaves emerge white, then slowly turn to cream and then various shades of green until they settle as a solid, dark green when fully mature. Together with its unique leaf shape, this makes for an eye-catching houseplant that is a must-have for any Aroid lover!

Philodendron Florida Ghost is a very easy-going and very rewarding houseplants for both beginners and more seasoned plant parents! It is very adaptive to different conditions and will forgive you if you forget to water it sometimes. New leaves will only emerge truly white if you grow this plant in very bright indirect light. In lower light conditions, new leaves might appear mint green.

Philodendron Florida Ghost is a hybrid, whereby the exact parentage of the Florida Ghost is unclear. believed that this plant originated from a cross between Philodendron pedatum and Philodendron squamiferum. Like most Philodendrons it makes a great house plant which is attractive and easy to care for in most climates.

Make sure you plant your Philodendron Florida Ghost in an airy potting mix! We recommend our Aroid Potting Mix, which we developed specifically for this plant family. If you decide to make a potting mix yourself, it should consist of bark, perlite, and peat moss.

Fun fact: In the Greek language 'Philo' means 'love' and 'Dendron' means 'tree hugger', describing the natural disposition of almost all Philodendrons to climb up trees.
