Eiffage Norge is looking for a dedicated Quality engineer

Due to increased activities EIFFAGE Norge is looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer for the E18 project. We are looking for a candidate that are engaged, proactive and has a "can do" attitude.

Reporting to the Quality manager:

Responsibilities

• Review the work procedures and participate to ITPs for defining inspections to be conducted.
• Ensure that activities on site carried out according to work procedures and conduct inspection as per ITPs.
• As part of the daily tasks, maintain detailed records of the inspections and testing which been carried out, as well as relevant additional information.
• Inspect, test and/or measure materials using gauges, calipers and micrometers, as well as operating electronic inspection equipment to ensure that all necessary procedures and products are inspected to a high standard.
• From the data collected from inspections, create reports for the quality manager it highlight issues, detail the number of defective products being produced, and explain where improvements can be made.
• Check that all manufactured products or part meet the necessary production standards.
• Is responsible for identifying and labeling referred and rejected materials/products, for the inspection of repairs and for requiring to raise NCRs.

Duties

• Organize the daily activities according to the quality manager’s instructions.
• Liaise with the construction manager/bridge engineers for all construction activities.
• Carry out work inspections at random or based on internal witness and hold points as defined in inspection and test plans and further requests for inspection handed over by the quality manager.
• Ensure that internal inspection has been carried out and documented.
• Check by random survey, before execution, that execution is carried out with documents to their latest revision No. and checks that out-of-date documents are destroyed or visibility cancelled.
• Ensure that all technical document issued to site for construction, installation or testing are approved and correctly implemented.
• Ensure that the subcontractor fulfill their construction quality obligations.
• Formalize his inspection results on inspection check lists, and his observations if any.
• In the event of a unconformity request a NCR opening
• Ensure that records for repair works are made available
• Record all the project execution follow-up documents.
• Provide feedback to the quality manager on QA/QC issues that need to be addressed in a proactive matter
• Check, by random survey, that calibration has been performed and that surveillance and measuring equipment has been verified.
• Ensure that execution monitoring documents are produced and stored in a readily retrievable manner and ensures their closing before acceptance of the part of the project in question
• Prepare detailed written QC reports
• Informs the quality manager in case of deficiency or of risk leading to a non-conformance situation

What we are looking for

• Graduated engineer within relevant subject
• 1-3 years’ of experience, but newly graduated will also be considered
• Good oral and written English
