The VerteCore Lift is a very simple device to put on and manually decompress (lift or stretch) the spine, anywhere, anytime. It would have been nice to call this device a medical "Back Jack," but that trademark had already been registered. It does, however, work in a very similar manner to the way a car jack lifts up a car one click at a time when a car has a flat tire. The harness has two jacks, one on each side that can be jacked up until back pain relief is felt, usually in a matter of seconds.

Vertebrae discs are also similar to a flat tire. As gravity, normal wear and tear or sports/work injuries cause the vertebrae to put too much pressure on vertebral discs, they sometimes begin to bulge or actually rupture just like a flat tire blow out. Just as a flat tire bulges out when it lays flat the ground, a ruptured disc bulges and puts pressure on the spinal cord nerve centers, which causes a wide variety of lower back pain. Similar to driving on the rim of a flat tire, it causes sparks and lots of friction. These sparks are what causes most types of lower back pain.

When the VerteCore Lift "jacks up" or stretches out the spinal column, it allows the ruptured disc to heal itself just like sealing a flat tire and re-inflating it with air. Instead of allowing the grinding of adjacent vertebrae, discs, or nerves, this decompression process enables a natural healing as it separates the grinding elements, and reduces pressure being placed on spinal nerve roots. Relief is immediate and can be initiated by wearing the "Lift" for only 20-minutes a day during normal daily activities.
