Vintage plate with a Flying Horse or

Reindeer flying amongst 7 stars and clouds on a background of vivid mottled royal blue. Beautiful Gold lines and dots pattern delineating the clouds.

Some of the stars are gold also, although they look a little copper colored n the photos. They are actually shiny gold like the handles. 9 inches in diameter.

Stamped on back: D. 5470 Belgium La Louviere Has a sort of Oriental or Middle Eastern/ Persian/ Arabian style or feel to it.

"Art Deco style vintage 1940s Boch Freres Belgian, ceramic pitcher in a beautiful blue with gilt stars and handle. The fanciful design pictures a mythical winged reindeer sometimes described as Pegasus (however Pegasus does not have horns). l've also seen this interpreted as part ot a astrology series with this character representing Aries, the ram. Stamped on the bottom with the maker's mark and "made in Belgium" and the pattern number D.5470 (1270).
