This vintage beauty was bought here in Norway from farmer not far from Oslo that brought it from Los Angeles in California. Found it there in pawn shop as he stated. This amazing treasure got me by its unique wooden look as I’m a big fan of natural wood colors in guitars. Originally this one was made as only maple neck Musicmaster in creamy color called Desert Sand from 1956 till 1959. As it’s really hard to check with 50’s guitars which exactly year is that I’m assuming that it’s The last year since I bought it as supposedly 59’. Naturally it’s easy to see by The neck shape comparing to 60’s or 70’s models that it’s definitely The first edition. Check out The pictures for comparison to see it by yourself what I mean.. Also only that first edition has a mark dot on back of The headstock that many stories are saying it’s from a locking routing rig that they were hanged on to be shaped. On top of it all that little indicators here and there with only maple neck produced at that time and it’s definitely original golden pick-guard with original pickup tells everything about it to assure it’s true years. Not sure if tuners are original 50’s or 60’s and how about rest of electronics but they look vintage legit for me. The only thing that it’s noticeable to be re-changed over The years it’s clear-coating of wood after sanding down creamy original finish for wooden and changed main logo - sticker on front of headstock from early models to later one. I’m guessing someone didn’t want The logo on there guitar head for some reason and later on put somehow original looking 70’s style one but guitar itself it’s definitely that first 50’s model so it’s pretty interesting what could be The story there over many decades to have this mistery happen.. 🤷🏻 Most likely whole guitar was refinished to look like brand new so that’s why maybe original sticker went off.. Logo itself looks totally legit but not from The years that guitar was made so maybe in 70’s it was send to Fender to put there logo they had and used in that time. Hard to define that but looks exactly like all Fender logo from 70’s We know. It comes with classic Fender tweed style case with nice brown leather handle & edges (last pictures). Everything’s working as it should. It’s pretty straight forward simple guitar. Feels super small and light. Incredibly comfortable neck. Keeps The tune and all specs are right in my opinion. Plays and looks great no damage marks or issues. I had many vintage guitars and this one makes impression totally original for me that’s why I took it. Although I figured I’m not really using it while mostly playing on hollow body guitars so I’m thinking to let someone else enjoy this fantastic piece of guitar history. Feel free to ask if You have any questions. If can be shipped for extra fee. I’m starting a bid here to see how many people will get interested in it and who gives The most naturally will become a new owner as winner 🏆 My other music gear listed here may also interest You.. Please write in English. Cheers! 🍻
