Room available in beautiful shared house with fantastic views over the city centre

Hello!

We have a room available in our beautiful collective house from 1st April. The house is south-facing, with a fantastic view over the city centre. The city is just a short walk away (5 minutes to the train station, 8 minutes to the bus station, 8 minutes to Festplassen).

We are looking for someone who is aged 25+, in order to maintain the atmosphere of an adult community house. We would like someone open and easy-going who can contribute to the positive and social atmosphere in the house. We value the house being kept tidy, and we all make an effort to clean up after ourselves.

The house:

The house is split into 2 apartments, consisting of 2 floors each, and we live in the bottom 2 floors. Our apartment consists of:

Ground floor: 3 bathrooms (1 w/ shower, 1 w/ shower+toilet, 1 w/ toilet), laundry room, and 3 bedrooms.
First floor: cloakroom, kitchen & living room (combined), and 6 bedrooms
A garden with a lawn and vegetable patches / flower beds.
A winter garden / conservatory adjoined to the house, accessible via the garden
A terrace with a seating area and fire pit
An outdoor jacuzzi
An outdoor shed, used as a storage room for bikes and skis etc.

The room:

The rent is 5400 kr/month, including internet and electricity.
The room is unfurnished.

The contract runs from 1st April 2025, with no end date. There is a notice period of 3 months to terminate the contract. The deposit is 10000kr.

We share cleaning responsibilities with a cleaning schedule, meaning each person cleans one floor of the house approximately once per month. We also have a monthly house meeting in which everyone is able to raise topics to discuss.

Most of us work or study from Monday to Friday, and have evenings and weekends free. Each of us have our own routines when we’re not working, but there are usually several people at home simultaneously. When we’re at home together we like to socialise in the living room, play board games, and watch films/tv.

A couple of times a month we all eat dinner together, usually on a Sunday, taking it in turns to cook for each other. We also like to have bonfires and BBQs on the terrace (mainly in the warmer spring/summer months, but also sometimes in winter). A couple of times a year we go on a cabin trip together.

We like to tend the garden in summer. We cultivate our own vegetables both outside and in the winter garden, including potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, radish, and kale. Strawberries and raspberries grow naturally each summer, and we also have blackcurrant and redcurrant bushes. We have basil, rosemary, and mint growing in pots.

Between us we have a broad range of hobbies, including hiking, skiing (cross-country, alpine, and ski touring), snowkiting, fishing, climbing, kayaking, cycling, acrobatics, and ultimate frisbee. Those of us who share hobbies like to do them together.
