I’m considering selling my highland pipes.

David Naill purchased in 1995. I am the only owner. Refurbished by Derek Marr at The Bagpipe Refurb Company in 2022. Very good condition. There is an innocuous hairline crack on the blowpipe ferrule. I’ve chosen to cover that with tape, although probably unnecessary.

I’ve previously sold the original plastic chanter that came with the pipes. The chanter that follows with this set is a David Nail blackwood chanter with engraved silver band bought in 2013.

Set up with synthetic drone reeds and a Chris Apps chanter reed. New Canmore extended medium bag tied in last year.

A long David Naill practice chanter (plastic) is also included, plus a few reeds and some hemp. Hard plastic case. Green bag cover that I usually don’t bother with.

Can be tested/picked up in Oslo. Can also be sent against pre-payment, also for postage.

Please note: these are highland pipes. They are VERY loud. Don’t underestimate how loud they are.

Please note: learning to play bagpipes takes time and perseverance. Learning technique on the practice chanter for a few months before progressing to the pipes is also necessary.

I’m in doubt as to whether to sell these, and all offers below asking price will therefore not be answered. Serious questions about these pipes and piping in general will of course be answered.

Considering selling as I’ve migrated to bellows driven pipes and am currently a more accomplished bellows player. Would consider exchanging or part-exchanging for bellows driven border pipes in A (Garvie or Moore), Uilleann pipes in D (any reputable maker) or perhaps smallpipes in C (Kinnear or Moore).
