can grow to ca. 20cm

Housing: Arboreal, tall setup with lots of anchor points. Cork and fauz plants to web on and in. Some humidity is appreciated, lightly mist at least weekly.

Temperament: Can be defensive, their bite is more potent than most other NW species.

Not reccomended for your very first spider. Also very fast.

Diet: Crickets, roaches, mealworms

This mid sized arboreal can be found in Trinidad. They dwell in their silken tunnels, woven into crevices in trees and often around epiphytic species of plants. They are noted to catch a wide variety of prey, from small frogs and lizards, to larger insects like grasshoppers. They are good eaters in captivity, and can often be seen hanging out in the open. Like other Psalmopoeus species, they are very fast and have more potent venom than most new world species. They can also be fairly defensive. This is a rewarding and beautiful species to keep!
