Head of Investor Relations
MPC Container Ships ASA (MPCC) is a market leading container ship company, registered and headquartered in Oslo, Norway. We specialize in serving intra-regional trade lanes, owning and operating one of the largest container fleets worldwide. Investor Relations is located at the headquarters in Oslo and shall develop and execute on MPCC’s IR strategy to support investors’ knowledge and confidence in MPC Container Ship’s vision and strategy. You are a proactive and independent person with attention to detail and an open and service-minded approach who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Excellent financial acumen and communication skills, and an understanding of capital markets and the shipping industry will set you up for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute on the company’s IR strategy, including financial and strategic communication with MPCC’s more than 50,000 shareholders.
- Serve as a point of contact with analysts as well as track and analyze models to understand the financial markets’ expectations of MPCC.
- Prepare content and create messaging for financial reports, investor presentations, market updates and stock exchange releases.
- Coordinate and accompany senior management on roadshows and investor conferences.
- Support executive management’s reporting to and dialogue with the Board of Directors.
- Oversee day-to-day IR activities, including maintenance of the investors section of the company’s website, social media, investor monitoring and targeting, and other administrative tasks.
Skills and Personal Characteristics:
- Strong financial and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and outstanding written and spoken English.
- Experience from or a good understanding of valuation methods and accounting principles are seen as an advantage.
- Detailed knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
- Uncompromising ability to handle confidential, non-public information.
- Experience from, or an understanding of, the shipping industry is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Higher education, preferably within business or finance.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally within investor relations, equity research, investment banking, accounting, or other relevant disciplines.
