Job Description:
- We are looking for a Senior Project Manager in an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) context holds a significant role with numerous responsibilities. You will work in a team of other technical disciplines, such as mechanical, chemistry, electrical, automation, etc. and collaborate with academia, vendors, and suppliers worldwide.
- Key responsibilities
- Project Planning and Initiation
- Project Planning: Create comprehensive project plans that detail project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timeline.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Project Execution and Management
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Contract Management: Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Risk and Issue Management
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle promptly and effectively.
- Contingency Planning: Develop and implement contingency plans to manage unforeseen events.
- Monitoring and Quality Assurance
- Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against milestones and performance metrics, making adjustments as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project activities meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Budget Control: Manage the project budget, ensuring expenditures are within the approved limits and variances are addressed promptly.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Status Reporting: Provide regular updates to project responsible, stakeholders, and clients on project status, risks, and issues.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all project activities, decisions, and changes.
- Client and Stakeholder Management
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with various stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and smooth project execution.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Compliance
- HSE Standards: Ensure all project activities comply with HSE standards and regulations.
- Safety Programs: Implement and oversee safety programs to protect the health and safety of the project team and stakeholders.
- Commissioning and Close-Out
- Project Commissioning: Oversee the commissioning process, ensuring that all systems and components are tested and operational.
- Project Handover: Ensure the smooth hand-over to customer / client
- This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge technology with the potential to address climate change and reduce CO2 emissions. The Principal Process Engineer will play a vital role in shaping the future of CO2 mineralization technology and its integration into industrial processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering. Add-on education
(degrees and/or courses) in Project Management is preferrable. - Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience in EPCI Project Management, preferrable within oil and gas and/or industrial process plants.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and execute process development projects effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and convey complex technical concepts.
- Planning: Experience in project execution planning using Gannt diagrams with description of discipline activities and milestones.
- Cost control: Experience in project cost control, keeping track of accumulated cost, forecast and budget.
- Risk and opportunity management: Experience in identifying and proposing mitigating actions to project risks and opportunities.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations, related to EPCI project execution.
