Nordic Credit Rating | Compliance and Risk Officer
Nordic Credit Rating (NCR), one of 25 registered credit rating agencies in Europe, is hiring a compliance and risk officer for placement at the company's offices at Via Vika in Oslo.
Together with management, you will take on the role to lead and develop work in the second line of defence. This includes gathering, analysing and reporting key enterprise risk metrics. Other important tasks are co-ordinating work with the board of directors, the internal audit function and keeping our supervisory authority, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), up to date with the company’s progress.
We believe you have worked a few years as a risk- or compliance manager in the first or second line of defence. You understand what non-financial risks are and how they should be managed on a day-to-day basis. You will use this knowledge to continue developing an existing risk and compliance framework on an enterprise level. The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) will apply to NCR, and you will manage this regulation from the perspective of the second line.
Main responsibilities
- Leading work in the second line of defence, performing ongoing surveillance of compliance, enterprise, and ICT risk
- Continuously improving compliance and risk management by planning and leading projects
- Development and follow-up of policies and procedures
- Reporting to relevant authorities, management, and board of directors
- Conducting planned and ad-hoc internal controls
- Assisting and advising the organisation on compliance-related topics, including building training programs
- Monitoring regulatory developments and assess any potential impact for the organisation
- Performing other miscellaneous tasks relating to administration of a growing organisation
Your skills
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience from working in English
- High attention to detail and structure
- A curious personality and willingness to continuously add new skills
- Ability to work alone as well as in team
- Interest in the financial markets
Qualifications
- Completed degree in economics, finance, business administration or law
- At least five year's relevant work experience in risk or compliance
- Native Norwegian or Swedish and excellent English skills
- Excellent experience in MS Office
- Previous experience from the debt capital markets is beneficial but not a requirement
The team
We are a team mainly comprised of credit analysts, specialised in understanding credit risk in bond issuers in the Nordic region. We also have staff conducting business development and a team developing our internal technology platform. We speak a mix of Norwegian and Swedish and we gather the whole team in the same location at least twice a year to get to know each other better.Om arbeidsgiveren
