Job Description:
Are you ready to take your career to new heights within the energy and aviation industries? AFSN is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Marketing and Business Analyst to join our experienced team. Reporting to our COO, you will leverage your expertise in data analysis, market development, and communication to drive AFSN’s strategic initiatives.
One of your primary responsibilities will be fuel forecasting. You will continuously predict fuel sales to our airline customers and manage stock balances at our airport locations. Collaborating closely with local third-party suppliers, you will communicate fuel needs, changes, and supply patterns. By applying predictive analytics to forecast market trends, fuel demand, and inventory levels, you will innovate and enhance our forecasting models, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
As a Marketing and Business Analyst at AFSN, you will:
- Analyse sales data, customer behaviour, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Design and maintain interactive business intelligence dashboards, utilizing tools like Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Assist in implementing and managing data integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow between systems and develop automated processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting, thereby improving efficiency and accuracy.
- Leverage analytics and AI tools like Co-pilot, ChatGPT, and Einstein to extract actionable insights from large data sets, driving innovation and growth.
The transition to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) will be a key responsibility. Together with the COO, you will scope and decide the AFSN sustainability strategy. This will involve not only focusing on SAF adoption but also developing strategies for AFSN to transition its operations to become CO2 neutral.
Your role will also involve:
- Identifying and maturing business development opportunities through research, networking, and industry engagement.
- Conducting thorough market research to identify trends and opportunities, crafting fit-for-purpose marketing material to fuel our growth, and together with the Sales/OTC team managing and optimizing CRM systems to enhance customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
In terms of communication, you'll develop and manage an external communication plan to boost AFSN's brand visibility together with the Sales/OTC team. You'll create and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials as needed, manage our social media presence and online reputation, particularly on LinkedIn, and ensure all communications align with our strategic goals and brand messaging.
Additionally, you'll update the assurance plan to reflect current business objectives and regulatory requirements, ensuring that relevant assurance activities are carried out as planned. Monitoring compliance with internal and external standards, preparing reports on assurance activities, and collaborating with other departments to resolve any compliance issues will be crucial parts of your role.
Skills and Qualifications that are good to have:
- HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) "first" mindset.
- Experienced user of Office 365, particularly Excel.
- Proficiency with AI tools like Co-pilot, ChatGPT, or Einstein.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and bring fresh ideas.
- High proficiency in English; knowledge of other Nordic languages is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a virtual team environment.
- Interest in the aviation business.
- Strong problem-solving skills and detail oriented.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Graduates are welcome to apply as well. Otherwise, 3-5 years of professional experience is ideal, but passion and skills matter most.
