We are rapidly expanding into the Offshore Renewables and Seabed Minerals segments and also joining market leading industry alliances such as the Windstaller Alliance together with Aker Solutions and Solstad. In this growing market we are looking to strengthen our Commercial Team. Working in the commercial department, you will be at the hub of DeepOcean’s operations, getting to know our operational framework within technical, commercial and contractual disciplines as well as taking part in business decisions and client negotiations for the various projects at hand. The position is based onshore in Haugesund, Stavanger, Bergen, Oslo or Aberdeen.Offering our services across the Ocean Space we will be facing new clients and challenging projects adopting new technologies. We need your unique skills to help us achieve our ambitions, all in a creative work environment embracing new ideas and cooperation. Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals and method statements for pre-qualifications and tenders, to ensure that they are in accordance with the client requirement/expectations, in order to secure a successful outcome
- Delegate responsibilities for tender input to different technical disciplines within the organization as required
- Ensure that technical and commercial offerings are sound and in accordance with our procedure as well as reflecting the risk level of the tendered project
- Identify differentiators, winning criteria and promote “outside the box” thinking to increase chance of winning the work.
- Inform management on opportunities and/or critical issues related to the tender and prepare required documentation for management review of tender
- Assist in subcontracting activities in connection with tendering work
- Ensure that cost estimates, risk evaluation and contract reviews are prepared in accordance with company procedures
- Follow up towards customer after submission of tender, participate in clarification meetings and contract negotiations.
- Participate in sales and marketing activities as required
- Prepare project specific handover document for awarded contracts
- Liaise with Project Managers during contract execution to explore growth opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor/master’s degree in relevant engineering/management discipline, or similar
- Preferably 5-10 years’ experience in Tender/Project/Contract Management in O&G and Renewables. Minimum 5 years relevant experience within offshore/nearshore survey operations is preferred. Candidates with other relevant technical background/experience will also be considered.
- Experience within estimating and planning
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding
