Your role and responsibilities
We are now strengthening our sales team in Bid Management & Sales Operation department with a Bid Manager in the Energy Sector covering Offshore, FPSO, Offshore Wind, Hydrogen, Offshore Electrification, and Subsea Electrification.
As a Bid Manager, you will support customers to improve efficiency, save resources, and reduce emissions that give our work a powerful sense of purpose. This exciting and dynamic work environment fits a communicative person with a customer orientation, as well as a high level of personal responsibility.
Your responsibilities
- Prepare technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit, and Sales organization directives.
- Be the single interface towards customers and ensure timely and proactive communication.
- Be responsible for the bid during the whole sales phase, from lead until signing the contract.
- Set up and collaborate with ABB group functions, such as Legal, Finance, Taxes, and Insurance.
- Use experience and understanding to add to the Bid plans and decision-making as the tendering process evolves.
- Coordinate with the procurement team and maintain support from internal and third-party suppliers.
- Analyze project proposals and cost plans and prepare for risk review.
- Define cost for the proposed solution and communicates to the Sales organization.
Qualifications for the role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the energy industries.
- The ability to work independently, but with a strong team-oriented attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in engineering and project execution is an advantage.
- Preferably experience in solution sales or project management.
- Knowledge about market requirements and standards within the industry is positive.
Experienced candidates will be considered even if their formal education is not according to the requirement above.
