Welcoming you to the Halden team
We are almost 1 000 employees working in Halden site. Our plant is one of the most important Nexans plants in terms of size and complexity. We produce high-voltage submarine cables, for deliveries all over the world. In addition, the production facility comprises the competency center for R&D, technical department, laboratories, production, testing, support and installation.
About the position
You will be Nexans Norway Industry 4.0 leader for the digitalization and standardization of our factory. This position is responsible for the integration and will follow committed initiatives with our Operation & Business organization and most importantly – to give value to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assess current technical capabilities of the factory and identify potential implementation hurdles
- Refine strategic direction and Factory of the Future goals that will drive strategic, future investments in our people, process, and technology
- Work on end to end automation technology projects
- Implementation of projects and provide the actionable data, information, intelligence to our business leaders needed to increase the speed of making and drive measurable and meaningful financial, environmental, and societal benefits across our company
- Standardize and embed digital manufacturing as a playbook into the Nexans digital production system
- Simplify the process in operations and maintenance with digital tools
- Optimize the benefits-cost of investments related to industry 4.0
- You will be a part of Group International Network of leaders, developing world class digital transformation solutions and governance to execute these strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in information technology, Mechanical engineering, data communication or equivalent educational backgroud
- Understanding the general Industry 4.0 applications (CPS, RFID, NFC, Augmented Reality, Energy Monitoring, Automous Guided Vehicle, interfaces and standards etc.)
- Practical experience with Industry 4.0
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Development of professional, social, methodological competencies and personal skills for Industry 4.0 / AI
- Sense of quality, result oriented and “get things done” approach
- Sense of ownership even under high pressure situations
- Project Management skillset, Communication skillset, and Problem-Solving skillet
- Acts as project leader; ability to reach consensus while stretching to reach ambitious targets; can clearly set priorities in case of scope change; good team player in multi-cultural/functional environment; enables other to ex guiding improvement and clarifying performance; creates accountability
- Proactive and with high integrity
- Fluent in Norwegian and English – oral and written
