Handelsbanken's digital unit is established as a modern, agile organization, with ambitions to set a new standard for customer experience in digital banking and deliver leading mobile and online banking solutions to the Norwegian retail market. To succeed in this, we are now looking for a DevSecOps Engineer with a passion for security, automation, and continuous improvement to ensure the robustness and security of our digital solutions.

What will your responsibilities be as a DevSecOps Engineer?

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring our development teams adhere to secure coding practices and principles. You will be a part of the Software Engineering team and work closely with Developers, DevOps engineers, and Security Specialists from Handelsbanken globally to ensure seamless integration of security practices into the development workflow of our digital unit. Your role is crucial in fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement within the development teams.

Your day-to-day will consist of:

• Driving awareness and ensuring secure coding practices within the development teams
• Enabling teams to write secure code through automation and tooling
• Owning routines and processes to ensure secure software development practices
• Influencing and shaping the development processes and ways of working to incorporate DevSecOps practices

As we are a new digital unit within the bank, you will get to think creatively and continuously evolve the development process and ways of working. This is also a new role in our digital unit, so you will get to influence your own tasks and take ownership of our security routines in software engineering.

We would love to hear from you if you have the following
qualifications:

• Hands-on experience as a developer (Preferably using Java)
• Experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or as a Security Champion
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices and frameworks
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to act as a bridge between developers and security specialists
• Passion for security and continuous improvement in software development
• Experience in relevant industries such as banking, payment services, or similar regulated financial service environments
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
