Adventure in lovely Tamok valley
Norwegian Travel is one of the leading tourism companies in the country. As part of our ambition to set the standard for activity-based tourism in Norway, our daughter company, Lyngsfjord Adventure, operating in the picturesque Camp Tamok, is looking for guides for multiply positions. For the next winter season, we are looking for snowmobile guides, camp hosts and guides for the Snow Park and snowshoeing.
The positions are seasonal, but there might be opportunities for a permanent position.
Camp Tamok
Situated in the north of Norway, in one of the valleys not far from Tromsø, you will find Camp Tamok: a lovely wilderness camp with cosy cabins and the breathtaking scenery. Here we offer snowmobile safaris, reindeer visits, snowshoeing excursions - and yes, husky sledding tours! We are looking for English speaking staff to lead our guests through an experience of a lifetime.

You have experience in tourism, are comfortable guiding people from all over the world. You are good at service and are motivated by the fact that guests have a good experience. You like working with people, and you're outgoing and sociable. You enjoy a varied working day where everything is not necessarily planned in advance.
You have control over "everything", work structured and are good at having a lot of balls in the air. Your attitude that problems are to be solved is a great fit here with us. You always keep your cool under pressure, are happy, willing and able to take charge and initiative when the unexpected happens, and handle every challenge in a swift and expeditious manner with a reassuring smile on your face.
What we hope from you

- Good physical condition and being able of lifting weights up to at least 20 kg

- European driving License class B is a plus
- Snowmobile license class S (mandatory for working as a snowmobile guide)
- A “yes-I-can-do-it”-attitude

Om arbeidsgiveren
Camp Tamok is a wilderness centre located just outside the centre of Tromsø, in the beautiful Tamok valley. Even though it’s location is only a 75 minute drive from the city, it’s in a different and drier climate zone, with inland mountain weather. The dry climate generates many clear nights, meaning the conditions are optimal for Northern Lights observations. During the winter, Camp Tamok is the starting and ending point for lots of authentic Northern Norwegian activities, like Northern Lights trips and other tours by dog sled, snowmobile and reindeer sled.
