Vice President HSSE
(Health, Safety, Security and Environment)
The position as VP HSSE is placed in the Staff Department – People, Culture & Quality, with close interfaces to all parts of the organization. The position reports to Chief of Staff.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance and follow up the occupational health and safety management system with ISO 45001 and the environmental management with ISO 14001 in RMT+
- Conduct regular internal audits to maintain ISO standards and update global audit plans
- Establish and manage safety programs according to ISO 45001, and together with the corporate management team build a strong Health and Safety Culture
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and manage impacts
- Implement measures to reduce the environmental footprint and continuously update environmental reports
- Stay updated on applicable HSE regulations and standards for all Corvus locations
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations at all sites globally
- Follow up and monitor key performance indicators to track HSE
- Identify and assess health, safety, security and environmental risks, including mitigation efforts and development over time
- Develop training programs and HSE related procedures, guidelines, etc. for global implementation
- Report HSE and risk management to corporate management team
- Maintain and update emergency response plans
- Conduct emergency drills and training for employees
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or other relevant education
- Minimum of 10 years as HSE Manager/Advisor
- Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or process industry
- Experience of working successfully within a matrix environment
- Proven track record in managing systems, processes and projects
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Third Party Certified Auditor in current ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
- Ability to build credibility, trust, and report with stakeholders at all levels
- A forward thinker who takes initiative to identify and resolve gaps
- Experience with relevant IT/system solutions. We use RMT+
- Experience in coordination and networking with multiple countries and cultures at global level
- Willingness to travel internationally as necessary
- Willingness and ability to be on-call contact for emergency situations out of hours
- Experience in HSE inspections, statistics and indicators
- Proactive and innovative, focused on continuous improvement
