Your Role
As the National Health and Safety Specialist, you will be the linchpin in our efforts to maintain and improve safety, health standards within our organization. Your role will be critical in ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, conducting audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations., with special with special focus on food safety and workplace health and safety.
- Perform internal and supplier audits.
- Support risk management and implementation of mitigation strategies.
- Monitor compliance with Legal requirements and certified standards.
- Support the Health and Safety as well as the Food Safety organization.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Relevant degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Relevant work experience will also qualify.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to logistics, energy sector, warehouse management, manufacturing, production, QSHE or FMCG.
- ISO certifications related to health, safety, and environmental management are preferred.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and/or food safety standards are preferred.
- Experience in performing internal audits and supplier/customer satisfaction audits. Certification as quality/lead auditor is preferred .
- Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Excellent organizational and document management skills. Experience with electronic quality management systems and non-conformity management system is required.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders.
