Going forward, Hydro needs to both build a stronger corporate brand in our key markets, as well as continue developing the strategy for our greener brands, ensuring we fully capitalize on our unique position in the aluminium industry. To strengthen our capabilities in this ever-changing landscape and expand our global outreach, we are looking for a skilled Head of Brand Communications.
In this truly global position, you will be at the forefront of strategizing and executing Hydro's brand and marketing strategy from a corporate level, reporting directly to the Head of Group Positioning & Brand.
As a vital part of the Group Communication & Public Affairs team, you will play an important role in enhancing Hydro's global reputation. This team is focused on delivering top-tier internal and external strategic communication services, closely collaborating with Hydro's Business Areas, managing significant reputation projects, advising top management on strategic communication, and overseeing the creation and management of content across various channels for both internal and external audiences.
You will work on
- Drive and execute Hydro's branding strategy for greener brands, promoting our low-carbon and recycled aluminium offerings towards key stakeholders and ensuring we fully capitalize on our unique position as the leading aluminium and renewable energy company.
- Initiate, manage, monitor, and optimize marketing campaigns across traditional and digital medias in partnership with Group Communications and the Business Areas.
- Create marketing materials for both corporate positioning and product promotion.
- Advance branding and positioning activities, including employer branding, brand activations and thought leadership.
- Support brand management, brand governance and trademark management in Hydro, including providing internal trainings on key topics like Greenwashing, etc.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports around brand and marketing activities, and support consolidation of department's performance results on a timely basis.

Your qualifications and skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
- At least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- A track record of executing successful B2B marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in LinkedIn campaign manager, Meta business manager, Google Ads/SEM, SEO, and digital analytics.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Norwegian proficiency is a plus.
- Previous experience in corporate communication within an international setting is advantageous.
- An independent, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who thrives in a team setting. Hands-on approach, with a strategic mindset capable of identifying compelling stories and tailoring them to the appropriate channels.
Additional Information
Communication & Public Affairs in Hydro is a world-wide organization. The department is closely integrated with Hydro's operations and businesses, with a total of approximately 50 people working in a broad range of fields.
