We need your Cybernetics expertise on our quest to advance adaptive robot intelligence
InMind is a newly formed company taking on the challenge of making robots learn. Our ambitious goal is to develop the world’s first real-time adaptive system for embedded deep learning. We believe that InMind’s adaptive robot intelligence has the potential to become the future’s most valuable technology.
From our headquarters in Trondheim the engineering work has already started. The work is based on the technical expertise of our founder Torgeir Trøite, an electrical engineer and successful serial entrepreneur. We are now building a strong technical team who will need to solve challenges, work hard and have lots of fun along the way in order to achieve our ambitious and potential world-changing goal.
“We have bold ambitions! InMind is advancing real-time adaptive robot intelligence that allows robots to learn from their environment and adapt to new tasks autonomously. Personally, I strongly believe that the ability for robots to learn and improve is the key to future productivity and innovation. And I am confident that our solutions will become some of the most valuable and sought-after technologies.” – Torgeir Trøite, Founder/CEO/Head of Development
Join our R&D team as our expert on Cybernetics and Control Systems
Our current goal is to build a team of 6-8 engineers working together on all the various aspects needed to deliver a working and learning robotics system.
For the position as Robotics Engineer – Cybernetics we are searching for a candidate who checks off on most of the following key qualifications and experience:
- Mathematics and Algorithms: Strong foundation in mathematics, including graph theory, probability, Bayesian methods, and optimization techniques.
- Sensors and Control Systems: Expertise in working with various sensors, sensor fusion techniques, particle filters, and control theory for precise control and stability of robotic systems.
- Programming and Development: Proficiency in Python, scripting languages and VHDL. Experience with development tools such as Git. Familiarity with numerical libraries like Numpy and techniques such as FFT.
- Machine Learning and Navigation: Experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms, SLAM, and Kalman filtering for real-time navigation, environment mapping, and enabling autonomous behaviors.
- Physics and Electronics: Knowledge of physical principles, dynamic systems, and electronics to improve the efficiency and performance of robotic systems.
We do not require a specific university degree, as your hands-on experience and practical knowledge are what is essential to us. However, holding an MSc or PhD in fields such as electronics, computer science, engineering, signal processing, cybernetics, mathematics, or physics is certainly advantageous.
