A small two-seater "KEI-car" roadster launched by Suzuki in 1991 with the slogan of "fulfilling the dream of owning a stylish and very affordable 2-seater sports car".
Front mid-engined, a removable hardtop and intuitive rear-wheel drive together with 50/50 weight distribution - provide fine performance and driving pleasure as it only weighs 725kg.
This is the updated EA21R version, which has a lighter K6A engine (turbocharged three-cylinder, 657cc) with chain-driven camshafts and increased torque.
It has been slightly tuned in Japan and has been upgraded with, among other things:
Body kit (incl. vented hood and rear bumper with diffuser), Suzuki Sport boost gauge, HKS turbo timer and a lightweight genuine Titanium exhaust system.
The car runs well mechanically and in drivetrain, was intended as a project to upgrade and drive track with.
It has previous light repair history on the front and is repainted in Japan, the front has a fairly mediocre fit.
Lack of time makes it now available for a new owner to get an odd JDM icon at an affordable price, rarer than, say, a Mazda MX-5 or similar (slightly larger) cars.
The price reflects that the car is being sold in project condition.
Open to trades for any other JDM classics like Toyota Supra, Nissan Skyline, Nissan Silvia or maybe a Mitsubishi Evo or Subaru Impreza or other thoughtful suggestion.
