The position is with Marlink Maritime in our global Customer Solution Engineering team (CSE) which consist of 13 dedicated customer solution engineers. The Maritime CSE team is responsible for understanding Marlink Maritime products and technical offerings, leveraging this knowledge to design technical solutions that meets and exceeds our customers’ expectations.
General
- The CSE team should possess a good understanding of Marlink Maritime technical solutions, products and services focusing on our technical capabilities, services, network solutions, and applications.
- The CSE team serves as the as primary point of contact for our customers and Marlink sales during technical discussions, understanding our customer needs and recommending the appropriate technical solution.
- The CSE team collaborates with sales to create an internal sales order that aligns with the technical solution agreed with our customers before handing it over to our delivery team.
As part of the team, you will be involved in the following tasks:
Work-tasks
- High level solution design that aligns with customer needs and business goals.
- Provide technical consulting to customers
- High level customer technical solution design
- Initiate and plan customer specific proof of concept to validate unique customer solution designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's (BSc) or Master's (MSc) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Alternative education or long relevant hands-on experience will be considered.
Experience in some of the following areas is an advantage:
- Data network or/and cyber security certifications is considered a plus.
- Good knowledge of data network solutions, LAN/WAN, IP-Routing solutions.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VPNs and SDWAN.
- Good knowledge of satellite communications.
- Good knowledge on Cyber Security solutions is a plus.
- Very good communication and customer interaction skills.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations and conduct
- Knowledge in arranging technical customer specific solution Proof Of Concepts.
