Join our team, we're looking for a (Senior) Process Engineer
Are you ready to make a significant impact in a cutting-edge industry? Aker BioMarine (AKBM) invites you to become a vital part of our innovative team at our state-of-the-art production and Research & Development (R&D) facility in Ski.
As a (Senior) Process Engineer, you will be at the forefront of advancing our krill protein and peptide business. Your expertise will drive the development, improvement, and optimization of our production processes, enhancing both technical and economic performance. You will play a crucial role in scaling up our manufacturing capabilities by participating in the technical evaluation of greenfield and brownfield scale-up options, contributing to technology transfer towards toll manufacturing, and leading scale-up operations.
In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with our dedicated operational and R&D teams, leveraging your knowledge to spearhead innovations that define the future of krill protein ingredients.

What you will do:
- Become the process engineering expert on the different unit operations and the overall production process.
- Establish and optimize the process mass and heat balance.
- Develop and prepare test plans for assessing and optimizing the performance of individual unit operations. Participate in tests and evaluate, interpret, and report test results.
- Analyze overall process performance data, as well as detailed data on specific process units.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Propose and implement projects to modify the process and equipment, to increase efficiency and remove bottlenecks.
- Establish and improve the process economics.
- Implement the results of R&D developments in the production plant.
- Be an active and contributing member of the process and product development team.
- Contribute to new technology scouting and evaluation.
To succeed in this role we believe you have:
- MSc in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Food Technology or equivalent.
- Min. 2-5 years relevant process engineering experience. Relevant experience may include operational plant engineering, or engineering projects at an engineering firm, or project design, execution and start-up at equipment or installation supplier.
- Experience with food (ingredient) manufacturing is a pre.
- Experience with separation unit operations such as centrifugation, membrane filtration and ion exchange is a pre.

- Ability to operate independently.
The Senior Process Engineer will work at our plant in Ski, Norway. It's important that the candidate lives in Norway and work at the plant.
