We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take on a leadership role within this discipline.

Who are we?

Mana is a new entrepreneurial venture from Norsk Gjenvinning Group (NG Group), Norway’s undisputed leader in waste management and recycling. NG Group consists of a portfolio of companies within the circular economy, offering services related to reuse, environmentally friendly waste management, environmental services, and raw material extraction throughout value chains.

Mana was established in October 2022, following the launch of a new corporate strategy at NG Group, our parent company. The Group concluded that to truly pioneer circularity, we have to do something bold to improve downstream solutions for waste that is not recycled. Today, such waste is sent to incineration and landfills, contributing significantly to GHG emissions (1.4-1.7 CO2e tons per ton waste). Mana will instead use this waste as raw materials to produce clean energy and products. Our value creation is two-fold; we deal with society’s growing waste problem, and we help meet the increasing demand for clean energy. Our approach is collaborative; we engage in strategic partnerships with technology companies and upstream and downstream customers.

Mana currently has several gasification projects with different products, markets, and interface complexity. The projects are related to hydrogen and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production.

What will you do?

As our Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:

• Be our discipline leader within your field of expertise, including being responsible for deliveries within this space as well as developing solutions and specifications, define guidelines and conduct calculations.

• Adopt a practical approach and be able to check information received from others. You will work independently, but at the same time be part of a larger team and understand interfaces with other disciplines.

• Participate in the entire process in the project(s); from feasibility to FEED, execution phase and communicate with suppliers and advisors to engineering.

• Expect to be involved in several projects simultaneously, ranging from feasibility to FEED

• Contribute to innovative solutions.

What qualities are we looking for?

• Preferably Master’s degree within Electro, however candidates with Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

• Minimum ten years’ experience from industry, EPC projects or similar.

• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.

• Ability to work autonomously in the fast paced, complex and ambiguous environment of a startup.

• Good collaborative skills.

• Strong implementation skills and eagerness to take ownership of your work.

• Curious and always looking for how to solve functional and technical challenges.

• Willingness to adapt to new responsibilities in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.

• Strong oral and written communication skills, including fluency in English and Norwegian.
