Temporary Adjunct Research Professor within Sustainable Textiles and Clothes
At the Consumption Research Norway, SIFO, there is now a one year 20% temporary position available as Adjunct Research Professor within sustainable textiles and clothes.
SIFO is a commissioned research institute, and the person appointed must have extensive experience with project acquisition and project management.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Research and dissemination of research results both to the professional environment and society in general within Sustainable Textiles and Clothes
- Being a driving force to develop larger research projects and applications for external research funding within this field of research
- Supervising PhD fellows within this field of research
- Take the initiative to further develop research collaboration with national and international partners within this field of research
- Publish research in international scientific journals, especially together with PhD fellows within this field of research
Qualification requirements
- Professor competence in the research area (sustainable textiles and clothes)
- PhD within a relevant subject area
- Main employment at a NOKUT approved university as full professor. NOKUT (the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education) https://www.nokut.no/en/
- Extensive experience with project acquisition and project management
- Experience with leading large research- and development projects
- Good experience with consumer research
- Must have good and relevant international research networks
- Good written and oral presentation skills in English
General criteria for employment in teaching and research positions are provided by the Regulation on employment and promotion in teaching and research positions.
Emphasis will be placed on the applicant's total scientific production within this field of research, when hiring. Personal suitability will also be weighted. Personal suitability is based on discretionary assessments based on individual interviews and conversations with references. In this position, professional ambitions and good collaboration and communication skills will be preferred.

The position is paid according to the Main Collective Agreement in Norway for Research Professor, 1183, (NOK 732 300 - 888 200 per annum, (i.e. for a 100% position)). For particularly qualified applicants, a higher salary may be considered.
