Are you ready to lead the development of autonomous UAV technologies? Six Robotics is seeking an experienced Team Lead for our Autonomy team. This team leader is dedicated to enhancing the software that powers our UAVs for civilian and defense applications. This leadership role is pivotal in advancing our autonomous systems, which integrate real-time data analysis, sensor processing, and machine learning.
About the role
As the Team Lead for the Valkyrie team, you will oversee the development of onboard software solutions that enable our UAVs to perform complex tasks autonomously. Your expertise will guide the team in advancing AI-driven technologies and infrastructure for localization, navigation, and environment interpretation. Collaboration with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) will be integral, ensuring our technology meets rigorous operational and security standards.

Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybernetics, or a related technical field.
- Proven leadership experience in software development, preferably within the aerospace, defense, or technology sectors.
- Deep technical expertise in programming languages such as Python and C++ and familiarity with Linux environments.
- Strong background in developing AI technologies, focusing on real-time systems integration, sensor data processing, and autonomous decision-making.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and project management skills.
- Outstanding communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
- Must meet security requirements stipulated by the Norwegian Security Act, «Sikkerhetsloven,» to be eligible for Norwegian security clearance.
- Speak English and also one Scandinavian language.
- Residence and work permit in Norway.
The process
Candidates will have the first interview with the recruitment manager and CTO Jan Dyre Bjerknes.
The next step in the process will be a meeting with Six Robotics' general manager, Christian Fredrik Eggesbø. You will then have one or two additional meetings with people you will work closely with. We aim to have found our new employee by mid-September.
