Vianode is looking for a ‘Senior Business Analyst – Operations’ to join our team in shaping the future of battery technology.
Our first industrial plant for the production of anode graphite is under construction in Norway, with start of production scheduled for the second half of 2024. The next phase will involve construction of a large-scale plant, and this is in the planning stage, with production targeted during 2027.
To support our exciting growth phase, we are now hiring for the position as Senior Business Analyst - Operations. The role will be exposed to a wide range of tasks and areas, such as operations, production, technology and finance, and you will work closely with the COO and other key stakeholders in the group.
Office location: Skøyen, Oslo. Occasional business travels must be expected.
Reporting to: COO
Key tasks and responsibilities in the role:
- Support and Represent the COO: Drive key initiatives and improvements across operations, supply chain, technology, and finance, acting as a key partner in decision-making and strategy execution.
- Lead Financial Collaboration: Acting as a first point of contact on various requests and requirements, driving responses in coordination with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Support Project Finance: Engage closely with the finance department to steer complex project finance requirements, including interaction with world-leading finance institutions and our shareholders Norsk Hydro and Altor, negotiation with various stakeholders and more.
- Prepare Reports and Analysis: Deliver high-impact reports and analysis to management, providing insights that influence business decisions and strategy.
- Oversee Capital Expenditure: Support capital expenditure planning related to production facilities, equipment, and technology, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Site Selection and Expansion: Support future site selection, assessing opportunities and requirements, as well as supporting the expansion of our operations.
- Ad Hoc Tasks and Projects: Tackle a variety of tasks and strategic projects that arise, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to addressing business needs.
Required qualifications:
- Master’s degree in industrial economics, engineering, finance or related field
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience from industrial companies, management consulting or similar
- In-depth knowledge of both finance and operations
- Experience from large complex industrial projects, preferably in manufacturing/production industries
- International business experience and genuine interest in the green transition, battery technology and sustainability
- Excellent communication skills in English

- Independent and proactive, yet still a team player
- Self-driven with an ability to work under pressure
- Strong technical and business acumen and ability to analyze complex issues
- Solution-orientated and dedicated with a willingness to take ownership of tasks
