Job Overview:
Worley Rosenberg is seeking an experienced and skilled Discipline Lead for Technical Safety and Working Environment to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and delivering technical safety and working environment solutions across a variety of projects. Your primary focus will be to ensure that all documentation is delivered in accordance with customer requirements and specifications, while also managing the discipline plan and budget. This is a pivotal role that requires collaboration across multiple disciplines, both internally and with clients, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Discipline Lead for Technical Safety and Working Environment on assigned projects.
Ensure the timely delivery of documentation in accordance with customer requirements and industry specifications.
Manage the discipline plan and budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to ensure cohesive project execution.
Report directly to the Engineering Manager Lead on the project.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in project discipline leadership, with a minimum of 10 years in Technical Safety.
Relevant technical education, such as an MSc or BSc degree.
Basic knowledge of working environment requirements.
Experience in the Oil & Gas, Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, or Offshore Wind sectors.
Familiarity with relevant engineering standards and practices.
Excellent cooperation and teamwork abilities.
Proactive mindset with strong communication skills.
Ability to effectively inform and persuade on complex matters through well-prepared proposals, presentations, and reports.
Preferred Competencies:
The ideal candidate will have specialized expertise in several of the following areas:
- Discipline Input to Design Basis
- HAZID, HAZOP, and other safety reviews, including preparation of Terms of Reference
- ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) assessments
- Dropped Objects Assessments
- Flare Radiation Assessments
- Safety Barrier Management and development of Design Performance Standards
- Design of Active Firefighting Systems, including Hydraulic Calculations
- Fire & Gas Detection Layout Design
- Functional Safety
- Area Classification
- Fire Protection Data Sheets
- Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
- Fire Integrity Analysis
- Noise and Vibration Assessments
- Blast Overpressure Analysis
