We will continue our journey where we see a strong growth coming from new markets and new categories. To further our mission, we are strengthening our material team with a Junior Material Developer.

The Junior Material Developer will be a main support to the R&D Material Manager and the Product Team. We are seeking a self-starter with proven ability to take initiative.

You will be able to source new materials, trims and yarns to our collections. You will oversee material testing and the quality assurance of the selected materials. You will be a part of our product team and work closely with our designer and product developers and report to the Product Director. The position is located at Bogstadveien 11 (Oslo, Norway).

Key responsibilities and tasks include:

• Sourcing trims and support fabric development.
• Arrange, review and approve material labdips.
• Following up approved colors and fabric qualities for bulk, SMS deliveries with internal testing procedures.
• Fabric and Trim data gathering.
• Organizing and shipping fabrics to suppliers/test houses/vendors etc.
• Help in fabric bookings for sampling and forecasting.
• Follow up fabric leftovers list.
• Dedicated work within our database (PLM system).
• Support R&D Material Manager in all tasks.

Experience or qualifications we are looking for:

• A degree in Textile Material Technology/Engineering. 
• Good knowledge of quality and testing standards.
• Experienced in computer programs such as Excel, Adobe Illustrator, PLM.
• Fluent in English and proficiency in a Scandinavian language is highly desirable.

Personal characteristics:

• Interested in materials and related technology. Eager to find new innovations and developments to use within textiles.
• Good knowledge about the full textile process from fibers, yarns, production technology, chemicals and certificates.
• Confident in negotiating prices and terms.
• Organized and structured with the ability to focus and multitask.
• Proactive and collaborative team player who can also work independently.
• Positive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Professional attitude, enjoy a high pace of work in an entrepreneurial environment.
