As a Contract Manager at Novenco, you will be a key part of our team, overseeing and managing all contractual activities related to sales, ongoing projects, and administrative functions. Your role will require you to conduct risk assessments, navigate potential challenges, and ensure that all contracts align with our strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director of Contracts and Supply Chain, you will collaborate closely with various departments, contributing to our company’s success through your advisory expertise, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse Contracts: Conduct thorough analyses of contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Draft and Negotiate Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry standards.
• Identify and Manage Risks: Identify, understand, and mitigate contractual risks during the sales phase and project execution, based on a practical and theoretical understanding.
• Internal Legal Advisor: Serve as an internal advisor on legal matters, providing expert guidance and support.
• Monitor and Manage Contracts: Oversee contract performance, resolve disputes, and facilitate amendments or terminations as necessary.
• Support Cross-Functional Teams: Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on contractual matters, including interpreting terms and resolving issues.
• Understand Project Execution: Maintain a solid understanding of complex project execution and its relationship to contractual theory.
• Update Quality Management Systems: Stay informed about standard contracts relevant to Novenco’s sectors and integrate updates into the quality management system (QMS) documents.
• Coordinate with External Counsel: Coordinate and liaise with external lawyers as required.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience:

• Experience with similar roles including contract negotiations, ideally within related industries.
• Knowledge of standard contracts such as Norwegian Fabrication Contract, Orgalim, NL, etc.
• Good communications skills in English, spoken and written
• Higher educational degree in business administration, Law or related field. Lack of education may be replaced by relevant work experience
