Experienced Reservoir Engineer

Vår Energi is seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to join our subsurface teams at our Stavanger and Oslo locations. Candidates are expected to work in multi-disciplinary teams and have a proven track record of adding value by integrating key subsurface data and reservoir studies to develop Co2 storage solutions for industrial customers.

Main tasks

As a high-end contributor in multi-disciplinary teams you will perform, lead and deliver the engineering components of integrated subsurface studies to drive and support business decisions.

Assignments can involve combinations of the following:

• Analyzing and interpreting reservoir data to obtain the best dynamic characterization of reservoirs and/or aquifers.
• Develop and maintain reservoir model for CO2 injection and storage in collaboration with geologists and geophysicists, to optimize fluid flow modeling, adapted to identified key heterogeneities.
• Evaluating CO2 storage capacities, studying the injection potential of reservoirs, and proposing data acquisitions.
• Drafting reservoir monitoring and management plans.
• Good industry track record as Reservoir Engineer. Relevant classical Reservoir engineering experience in Reservoir Management, Reservoir Performance, and Analytical Reservoir Engineering workflows.
• Contribute to CCS license application and approval
• Support CCS new business development opportunities
• Prepares and presents at internal peer reviews, technical workshops, and relevant committees.
• Mentor early-career colleagues in subsurface characterisation
  

Qualifications

• >15 years of relevant experience in subsurface characterisation
• Bachelor Degree (Masters/PhD) in a relevant discipline
• Experienced Petrel user
• Fluent English written and oral communication skills
