Experienced Reservoir Engineer
Vår Energi is seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to join our subsurface teams at our Stavanger and Oslo locations. Candidates are expected to work in multi-disciplinary teams and have a proven track record of adding value by integrating key subsurface data and reservoir studies to develop Co2 storage solutions for industrial customers.
Main tasks
As a high-end contributor in multi-disciplinary teams you will perform, lead and deliver the engineering components of integrated subsurface studies to drive and support business decisions.
Assignments can involve combinations of the following:
- Analyzing and interpreting reservoir data to obtain the best dynamic characterization of reservoirs and/or aquifers.
- Develop and maintain reservoir model for CO2 injection and storage in collaboration with geologists and geophysicists, to optimize fluid flow modeling, adapted to identified key heterogeneities.
- Evaluating CO2 storage capacities, studying the injection potential of reservoirs, and proposing data acquisitions.
- Drafting reservoir monitoring and management plans.
- Good industry track record as Reservoir Engineer. Relevant classical Reservoir engineering experience in Reservoir Management, Reservoir Performance, and Analytical Reservoir Engineering workflows.
- Contribute to CCS license application and approval
- Support CCS new business development opportunities
- Prepares and presents at internal peer reviews, technical workshops, and relevant committees.
- Mentor early-career colleagues in subsurface characterisation
Qualifications
- >15 years of relevant experience in subsurface characterisation
- Bachelor Degree (Masters/PhD) in a relevant discipline
- Experienced Petrel user
- Fluent English written and oral communication skills
