Do you want to move further into the intersection between trade secrets, patents and design protection, and not least the enforcement of our clients' rights?

About the position

Patent at Zacco consists of several teams specialising in mechanics, electronics, life science and digitalisation. You will work in a team with colleagues in Oslo – and internationally in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, the UK and India.

You will work independently with your own client portfolio, but also in collaboration with very experienced patent attorneys, attorneys-at-law and paralegals. We place great emphasis on cooperation and learning from each other.

Your tasks will include:

• direct client contact; handling all types of patent issues for clients ranging from small enterprises to multinational companies; 
• responsibility for all aspects of the patenting process, in Norway and internationally, within your own client portfolio, including drafting and prosecution of patent applications;
• preparing infringement opinions, validity opinions, and freedom-to-operate analyses; and
• participating in client’s IPR strategies.

About you

We imagine that you:

• have a graduate degree (minimum M.Sc.) in an engineering discipline, preferably within electronics, and/or computer science;
• have some years of experience from industry, research or consultancy;
• have an interest in technology, law and innovation (experience with innovation and law would be an advantage);
• speak and write English fluently, as well as Norwegian, Danish or Swedish;
• are structured, organised, self-driven and proactive;
• can maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; and
• can perform independently as well as in team environment.
