DNB - Ocean Industries - Corporate Analyst
Do you want to work in a team that is influencing the energy transition and developing sustainable financing structures for the leading companies in the maritime sector?
In the Ocean Industries Division, you will be part of a global team of ~140 people. We represent the most internationally oriented business area in DNB covering all main industry segments in the maritime sector: Seafood, Shipping and Offshore.
As Norway's largest financial group and a world-leading financial services provider for the maritime and ocean industries, we strive to be the preferred financial partner for our clients enabling growth opportunities as well as giving support during challenging times. In addition to maintaining strong industry competence, we need to stay updated on technological developments and international regulations, as well as understanding the key risk elements related to credit exposure, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.
The Customer Analysis Section (CAS) is responsible for the internal processes related to risk analysis of our credit customers and for preparing and presenting cases for decision makers. As an analyst you will work in teams together with relationship managers to provide advice and solutions to our customers, often in close cooperation with colleagues across other areas of the bank. Additionally, you will engage in portfolio analysis, evaluate market intelligence on relevant industry sectors, and contribute to various projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Financial and non-financial analysis, including cash flow modelling, market intelligence, sensitivity analysis, ESG evaluation (corporate social assessment).
- Conduct risk assessments, coordinate the credit process, and draft credit papers.
- Respond to client inquiries, support the preparation of client presentations, and contribute valuable insights to the client teams on various relevant matters.
- Compile and deliver portfolio and internal market reports and contribute to internal reporting and various projects.
Your competence profile:
- Master's degree or equivalent in relevant field, with solid results.
- Preferably at least three years of relevant experience in banking, corporate finance, auditing, or similar roles within reputable institutions or companies.
- Experienced user of Excel for financial modelling and forecasting.
- Seafood/Shipping/Offshore industry knowledge or interest in developing industry knowledge.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English, oral and written.
- Strong communication skills.
We expect you to have a keen interest in risk assessment and analysis, a high work ethic, possess an analytical mindset, and a strong desire to develop deep industry competence. You balance a keen eye for detail with a strategic perspective, always keeping the customer at the forefront of your actions. Additionally, you are highly organized, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of your work.
In addition to the position as Corporate Analyst, we are looking for someone for a temporary position of 6-9 months.
