Our department in Egersund is now looking for a Welding Engineer to join our team.

What will you be doing?

• Be actively involved in project’s design phase to ensure fabrication friendly solutions, use of automated welding processes and implementation of welding requirements
• Quality assurance of welding activities according to ISO 3834-2 for contracts, Aker Solutions workshops and suppliers
• Identify critical areas in pro-active manner and assist project team in matters of material and welding
• Review and ensure compliance with governing requirements and procedures within material and welding on projects
• Evaluate, investigate and give corrective action for all non-conformances related to welding
• Be a part of evaluation, qualification, inquires, auditing and follow-up of suppliers related to ISO 3834-2
• Review of WPS / WPQR and welders’ qualifications for prefabrication activities
• Coordinate welding inspection activities
• Continuously follow up the construction work regarding welding quality
• Ensure that all prefabrication jobs are performed according to Aker Solutions Quality Assurance procedures for the welding activity

We think you should have:

• International Welding Engineer (IWE) or International Welding Technologist (IWT) diploma
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in oil & gas
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good communicative skills in English language, oral and written. Knowledge of Norwegian language will be a benefit
