Roland Boutique JP-08 Synthesizer (Jupiter 8 clone)

The Roland JP-08 is a limited edition synthesizer that was produced from 2016 to 2018. The JP-08 reproduces the sounds of the original Jupiter 8 and has a "secret" stereo chorus on board that can be activated via midi. For more about the JP-08, see https://sunshine-jones.com/roland-jp-08/

The JP-08 runs on batteries or USB power, and can even be run with the USB cable from a standard smartphone charger. Only one of the banks had the original program settings from the Jupiter 8, so I re-programmed the rest of the settings from the original Jupiter 8 patches. If you wish to go back to the factory settings, the reset procedure is easy with instructions available on support.roland.com.

I was using the synth for a recording project but haven't used it since, so it's time for it to find a new home! The synth works perfectly and has some minor scratches on the edges (see the last photos) but still looks quite nice. It's got the most recent firmware, v 1.21.
