Arts søker souschef
Arts is now looking for a new key person for our kitchen team. This is a position that comes with a lot of responsibility, and we are seeking a responsible and experienced individual with a background in Mediterranean cuisine.
We are a Mediterranean restaurant that opened in 2020 and have quickly become a recognized and popular establishment. We are an independent restaurant with a small, close-knit team that puts great effort into providing genuine and excellent customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Plan and prepare menus in collaboration with the head chef.
- Oversee cooking and presentation to ensure high quality and consistency.
- Train and guide kitchen staff, including instruction on techniques and food safety standards.
- Contribute to inventory management, including ordering and receiving ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Take over responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the head chef.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar restaurants.
- At least 4 years of experience in à la carte restaurants.
- In-depth knowledge of cooking and ingredients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills and experience leading a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in English as a native language.
