Join our team to shape the future of data at Coop!
We see data as essential to our success as a business, and we are determined to reinvent our data landscape to make data access at Coop easy, safe, and reliable so we can leverage this important asset in delivering better value to our co-owners and customers even faster. We plan to achieve our vision by adopting a data mesh architecture and a domain-oriented organisational structure where autonomous value stream teams deliver data as a product to other teams and use this data to build compelling products. In this endeavour, we need motivated people to make data a 1st class citizen. In this process, help us discover and build new and useful platform capabilities that can accelerate the process of building data products, and data analytics.

Your day-to-day may look somewhat like this:
- You’ll work as part of value stream teams (or cross-functional teams) to both extract and deliver data as a product internally in the organisation and to leverage data in creating attractive and valuable products for our customers.
- You’ll collaborate with data science and analytics to create compelling new products and improve existing products. You’ll also be an enabler for our team of Data Scientists and Data Analysts by maintaining and building data pipelines, and deploying models on production in an MLOps fashion.
- You’ll help build our data and analytics platform highlighting critical patterns for performing data analytics and creating data products, and creating platform capabilities that can help teams perform these activities better and faster.
- You’ll contribute to fostering a modern data culture within Coop and strengthen our data-driven organisation.

- The ability to take initiative and responsibility in your line of work yet maintain focus on how we can achieve greater speed through focus and keeping an eye on our high-level goals.
You don’t have to meet all the requirements listed above, as long as you have the will and drive to learn, and a proactive and open approach to learning, we will help you master any relevant skill, technology, or tool.
Qualifications:
- 3-10 years of experience in data engineering using relevant and new technologies and tools.
- An educational background in IT or computer science (relevant experience can make up for the lack of formal education).
