DevOps Engineer (with Operations Support) - Aquatech

CageEye is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who is excited about tackling real-world challenges in harsh conditions. In this role, you'll work closely with both our engineering and operations teams, helping establish robust and scalable solutions while maintaining operational excellence.

The role will report to CTO in the company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and improve our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Linux, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes.
• Support distributed deployment and management systems, ideally with experience in SALT or similar.
• Design and implement robust, scalable solutions for our multi-layered IoT architecture, ensuring high reliability and maintainability across diverse environments. This includes:
• Optimizing system performance and fault tolerance to withstand harsh marine conditions and potential network and infrastructure instabilities.
• Monitoring and alerting systems to ensure continuous operation and rapid issue resolution across the entire IoT stack.
• Implementing secure and efficient data synchronization between on-premise farm servers and cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Linux, Google Cloud, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of building images for both amd64 and aarch64 architectures is advantageous.
• Experience with distributed deployment and management solutions like SALT or similar tools.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, containerization, and automation processes.
• A desire to work hands-on and help our operations team when necessary.
• Self-driven and comfortable with the dynamic pace of a global company.
