As Inspector - Welding Technology, do you want to solve tough challenges for the global energy industry?

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Inspector - Welding Technology with experience in onshore or offshore projects.

This position is led from Stord and is not a rotation

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?

• Ensure that all requirements of EN ISO 3834-2 are continuously implemented and followed.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and efficiency guidelines.
• Perform daily welding inspections at the manufacturing/production site.
• Conduct inspections before, during, and after welding, with reports documenting each step.
• Approve or reject the welding inspection results based on compliance with standards.

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Certified International Welding Inspector (IWI-S).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding fabrication, or as a Welder, Plate-fitter, or Pipe-fitter.
• Proficiency in MIPS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Familiarity with other disciplines.
• Systematic, creative approach.
• NDT knowledge and welding experience, especially in Oil & Gas.
• Flexible and adaptable to project requirements.
