We are now looking for Senior Portofolio Manager who can help us to continuously improve Volue’s ability to provide value to customers in line with the Volue mission.

The Senior Portfolio Manager (SPM) is a key employee in Volue Energy Market Services (VEMS) towards the customers we have, and also in our development ahead. The SPM is the person the customer will be having as main contact in VEMS. The SPM will handle all the customer that VEMS have. In the meaning, giving them advices towards risk, risk strategies, how to act in the daily market and also do the trading on their behalf. If there are questions the SPM will handle it or find expertise in the organization which are able to help the customer. The SPM are working independently but contributes into the team of managers with the intention of the best for the customer, and are educating and developing them so they are able to be ahead of the changes that occurs in the power market. The SPM is not only a financial advisor but have the responsibility towards the physical market. The SPM is the key in customer relationship for VEMS.

Within this role you will:

• Follow up on the responsibility VEMS have towards the customers
• Develop and educate the customer in the power market
• Ensure that the customers to VEMS are able to participate in the energy market
• Advise and trade in the different markets the customers are participants in
• Know all the products VEMS deliver to the customer

What you need to succeed:

• Education level e.g.: BSC/MSc in Engineering or economics
• Relevant university degree master level, or relevant experience
• Experience from the power market or other derivatives markets is an advantage
• A commercial mindset
• Structured, self-starting and with high implementation capacity
• Experience with profit and loss accountability, and preferably with sales and business development
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and cross organizational collaboration skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in Norwegian
• Pro-active and service-oriented with high execution capacity and result orientation
• Good communication skills with ability to interact with the customers as well as being an internal team-player motivating team members and colleagues
• Analytic skills
• A broad and strategic view of the energy market as well as customers’ industries
